Nevim, zda to bude presne tento problem, ale FreeBSD umi dva
rezimy PLIP - viz man plip:

     -link0      (default) Use FreeBSD mode (LPIP).  This is the simpler of
                 the two modes and therefore slightly more efficient.

     link0       Use Crynwr/Linux compatible mode (CLPIP).  This mode has a
                 simulated ethernet packet header, and is easier to interface
                 to other types of equipment.

> ifconfig lp0 192.168.0.3 192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.255

Mozna by tedy stalo za pokus jeste zkusit na konec pridat "link0".
