    On September 19th 2020 from 1400-2100 UTC we will be running a coordinated virtual Bug Squash. FreeBSD has a Problem Report (PR) database where users and developers are encouraged to file issues and regressions they find in both the base system and ports tree. A Bug Squash is a focused session where we try to triage, process, fix and close as many reports as we can from the PR database. This September 11th Bug Squash we will focus on closing as many PRs with patches as we can. Both users and developers are invited to attend and participate via the live video stream and IRC channel.

    This hackathon in Vienna is focused on security, but this is not a strict requirement. The basic idea is to get together with FreeBSD hackers to discuss and work directly on issues resolving as many as we can over the long weekend. Fixing bugs, writing code, adding features, improving the documentation, working on ports, and such are all welcome activities at the event. There is also a sightseeing tour planned on the Monday after.

AsiaBSDCon is a technical conference and aims to collect the best technical papers and presentations available to ensure that the latest developments in our open source community are shared with the widest possible audience.

    The Free and Open Source Software Developers' European Meeting (FOSDEM) is a free event for software hackers to meet, share ideas and collaborate. Every year 8000+ open source developers from all over the world gather at the event in Brussels, Belgium. During the FOSDEM, developer rooms (devrooms) are assigned to self organized open source groups and projects to meet together and showcase their projects; a BSD devroom will host talks about BSD operating systems and projects.
